Eugene Haywood “Gene” Hall, 76, of Lexington, died Sunday, June 7, 2015, at his home following an extended illness.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, at Holloways Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Dana Slack officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the graveside service at the church. Mr. Hall will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service.
Mr. Hall was born July 6, 1938, in Guilford County, to Russell Washington Hall and Kathleen Edna Montjoy Hall. He was a graduate of Lexington Senior High School. He was retired Superintendent of Proctor & Schwartz with 40 years of service and a member of the International Management Council, Uncle Jim’s Hunting Club, and Davidson County 4 Wheelers Club. He was a member of Holloways Baptist Church where he was a former deacon, served on various church committees and worked on mission projects in the US and abroad.
Surviving are his loving wife of 57 years Betty Ann Hanes Hall of the home; son, Terry Hall of Lexington; daughter, Deborah Hussey and husband Dale of Robbins; two grandchildren, Christi Hussey and friend Cody, and Matthew Hussey and friend Danielle; and family friends Hector and Renee Gorman of Scotland.
The family would like to thank Dr. Anthony Bleyer for his care in addition to the dialysis and hospice teams.
