Eugene Franklin Hartman

Eugene Franklin Hartman, 84, of Lexington passed away peacefully on Thursday, August, 29, 2019 at Lexington Health Care.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, September 1, 2019 at Church of Christ of Arcadia with Bobby Leonard and Tony Morrison officiating with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5:30 pm-7:00 pm, Saturday, August 31, 2019 at Davidson Funeral Home – Hickory Tree Chapel

Eugene was born in Davidson County on April 13, 1935, to David Lindsey Hartman and Sara Masten Hartman. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Roy Hartman and J.D. Hartman; and a sister, Martha Beck.

Mr. Hartman is survived by his loving wife of sixty- one years, Amy Jo Younts Hartman; one son, Mark Hartman (Ann) of Lexington; two daughters, Kimberly Hartman of Palm Harbor, Fla.; Lori Peak (Chris) of Floyd, Va; and five grandchildren: Adam Hartman (Stacey); Abby Hartman; Aaron Hartman; Ariel Hartman and Greyson Peak.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to The Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.

Davidson Funeral Home-Hickory Tree Chapel is serving the Hartman family.
