Eula Deane Foster Koontz

Eula Deane Foster Koontz, 90, of Carolina House formerly of Friendship Church Rd, Lexington died Thursday, January 5, 2012 in WFBH-Lexington Medical Center after a period of declining health. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday at Friendship United Methodist Church with Rev. Lee Koontz, Rev. Gary Foster, and Rev. Patrick Snow officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 pm in the Fellowship Building just prior to the service. Mrs. Koontz was born June 23, 1921 in Davie County to Stephen L. Foster and Rossie Mae Tucker Foster. She was a homemaker and a member of Friendship United Methodist Church. Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, B.L. Koontz, Jr., and a brother, Tucker Foster. She was a constant source of love, warmth, and encouragement for her family and friends. Surviving are a son, Stephen (Steve) Koontz and wife, Jennie of Lexington; a daughter, Dianne Koontz Steele of Wilkesboro; three grandchildren, Lee Koontz and wife, Heather of Matthews, NC, Russell Koontz and wife, Ashleigh of Concord, NC, Adam Koontz and wife, Ashley of Winston-Salem, NC; three great grandchildren, A.J. Koontz, Alex Koontz, Hayden Koontz; a brother, Bruce L. Foster and wife Bertie of Reeds and a sister, Sarah Beeker of Reeds. Flowers will be accepted, but memorials may be directed to Senior Services, Meals on Wheels, P.O. Box 1697, Lexington, NC 27293
