Eva Marie Coffey Holiday, 87, of Old US Hwy 52 in Winston Salem, passed away Sunday March 24, 2019 at her home.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Thursday March 28, 2019 at First Assembly of God in Lexington, where she was a member, with Pastor Vernon Richmier conducting services. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday at Davidson Funeral Home Hickory Tree Chapel.
Mrs. Holiday was born April 3, 1931 in Magoffin County Kentucky to Jessie Coffey and Cliffie May Holliday Coffey. Eva was retired from Hardees in Welcome North Carolina and was preceded in death by her parents and stepfather Sherman Blevins a grandchild, David Lynn Jones; one brother, Victor Coffey; and two sisters Ruth Joseph and Joan Arnett.
Surviving is her husband, Seldon Holiday; one son Phil Holiday (DeAnna) of Lexington; one daughter, Barbara Schaffhauser (Bill) of Winston Salem; two brothers, Dick Blevins of Indiana and Gary Blevins (Jan) of Ohio; 5 grandchildren; Lisa Schehr of Charlotte; Nicki Wagg (Johnny) of Lexington; Dawn Overmyer of Wallburg; Jason Holiday of Lexington; Chrissy Binion (Shelton) of Shelby; 8 Great-grandchildren, Courtney; Christopher, Jonathan, Chloe, Victoria, Ryan, Justin, and Mae; 2 Great Great-Grandchildren Pru and Zoe.
