Evelyn Rains Allgood

Evelyn Rains Allgood 87 of Mallard Ridge Assisting Living formerly of Gumtree Road passed away early Wednesday morning, August 14, 2013 at Forsyth Medical Center. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, August 16, 2013 at Parklawn Memorial Park with the Rev. Bob McCaskill officiating. There will be no formal visitation. Evelyn was born on August 13, 1926 in Williamsburg, Kentucky to Everett and Goldie Meadors Rains. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Robert Lee Allgood, Sr. who died March 27, 2007, a sister and a brother. She was a homemaker and a member of Pinedale Christian Church. Surviving are 6 children, Pat Spach (Harvey), Gail Beeson (Robert), Robert Allgood, Jr., Mary Bassett (Harvey), Diana Gonzalez (Efren), Becky Estep (Buddy); nine grandchildren; ten great –grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; and a sister, Debbie Bird (ES). Memorials may be made to Hospice & Pallative Care Center of Forsyth County, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel is assisting the family.
