Evelyn Mae Miller Blevins, age 80 of Tyro School Rd. passed away Friday afternoon at Lexington Memorial Hospital after an illness of three months.
A graveside service for Evelyn will be held 2:00 P.M., Tuesday February 2, at Forest Hill Memorial Park with Rev. David Wooten officiating.
She was born December 26, 1929 in Johnson City TN to William and Ruby Virginia Greg Miller. She retired from Burlington Furniture and attended Lakeview Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband David Salomen Blevins; three sons, Billy Joe, Phillip and Roger Dale Blevins; three brothers Harry, Lonnie, and Carl Miller and two sisters; Opral Powell and Naomi Miller
She is survived by three sons David Blevins and wife Pat, Tommy Blevins and wife Rosemary both of Lexington and Vernon Blevins and wife, Geraldine Mi; three daughters Mary Greene and husband, Shelby of Tennessee; Donna Shaw and husband, Robert, and Patricia Jones both of Lexington; one sister Helen VanHoy of Tennessee; 28 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 P.M. Tuesday prior to the funeral. Other times at the home of the son, Tommy Blevins at 1576 Tyro School Rd., Lexington.
