Evelyn Conrad Bunting

August 6, 1918 — January 24, 2010

Evelyn Conrad Bunting, age 91 of Greensboro Street Extension, Lexington passed away Sunday morning (January 24, 2010) at Lexington Memorial Hospital.  Funeral service will be held 11:00 am Wednesday (January 27, 2010) at Pilgrim Reformed Church, where she was a member with Rev. William Sowers officiating.  Burial will follow in Pilgrim Reformed Cemetery.   The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Tuesday night at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel and at other times at their respective homes.   Evelyn was born in Davidson County, August 6, 1918 to Wade O. Conrad and Beulah Leonard Conrad.  She was a retired employee of Dacotah Mills and worked for Triangle voting precinct for the Davidson County Board of Elections for thirty years.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Francis “Check” Bunting on May 25, 2003 and a sister Etna C. Hodge.    Surviving are; two daughters, Frankie B. Byrd and Becky B. Daley and husband, J.R. all of Lexington; three grandchildren, Chris Byrd and wife Hayley of Beaufort, SC, Carey Byrd and wife Tracy of Athens, GA and Lauren Daley of Lexington; one great-grandson, Caelan Byrd; Step-grandchild, Jimmy Daley and wife Tabatha of Lexington; one step-great granddaughter, Felicia Daley; one sister, Margaret Truell and husband Steve of Lexington, also surviving are special nieces and nephews.   Special thanks to Norine Everhart for the care given by her to our mother.   Memorials should be directed to Pilgrim Reformed Church, 797 Pilgrim Church Road, Lexington, NC  27295 or donors choice.     Online condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net
