Evelyn Elizabeth Clodfelter

Evelyn Elizabeth Smith Clodfelter, 93, of Lexington, passed away Friday, May 20, 2022, at Trinity Oaks.

A funeral service will be held 11 AM Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at Bethesda United Methodist Church with Rev. Rick LeBaube officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the church.

Mrs. Clodfelter was born September 9, 1928, in Cabarrus County to Roy Smith and Mary Carter Smith. She was a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan Leroy Clodfelter; one son, Gary Eury; one daughter, Pat Eliason; and two sisters, Wilma Hogg and Helen Hall.

Left to cherish her memory are three sons, Bobby Eury of Salisbury, Ronnie Eury of Matthews, and Mike Clodfelter (Gail) of South Carolina; two daughters, Glenda Sherrill of Kannapolis, and Mitzie Ketner of Salisbury; one brother, Donald Smith (Jane) of Georgia; and one sister, Carolyn Shutt of Edenton. Also surviving are eighteen grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Bethesda United Methodist Church Community Garden.
