Evelyn Mock Cooper

Evelyn Mock Cooper 86 of Lexington passed away Thursday January 19, 2023, at her home. A funeral service will be 4:00 pm Monday at Good Hope United Methodist Church where she was a member conducted by Revs. Johnny Lord and Rocky Sutphin. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will see friends from 3-4 pm prior to the service.

Evelyn was born August 30, 1936, in Davidson County to the late Thomas Ronnie Mock and Edna Hinkle Mock. She retired from Young Hinkle Furniture after 22 years. Her first husband, and father of her children, Clarence Otis Hendrix and  her second husband, John Austin Cooper Sr. both preceded her in death. She was also preceded by a daughter, Linda Hendrix Sager and a sister, Barbara Mock Carter (Chris) deceased.

Surviving are her son, Todd Hendrix (Gail) of Lexington. Her daughters, Faye Graham (Mike), Rita Huffman (Allen) and Evelyn Jane Carter (Chris deceased).  Nine grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren. 3 great great grandchildren and several step great grandchildren. Her brother, Thomas Ronnie Mock Jr. (Legina Forrest deceased) and sister, Reba Mock Perrell (Gene). Also surviving are her fur babies, Tommy the cat and Jack the dog.
