Evelyn Dorsett Fritts

Mrs. Evelyn Dorsett Fritts, 87, of Allred Road, died Monday, June 3, 2019 at the home of her son, CJ, with family by her side.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm Wednesday, June 5 ^th at Mt. Zion Wesleyan Church, by Pastors Keith Carroll and Wilson Harris.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 pm prior to the service.

Mrs. Fritts was born February 10, 1932 to Winfred Steven Dorsett and Beulah Summey Dorsett.  She was a member of Mt. Zion Wesleyan Church.  She was preceded in death by her parents; step-mother, Opal Dorsett; her husband, Coy Jackson Fritts, Sr.; sister, Virginia Whittington; son-in-law, Ralph Smith and step son-in-law, Laverne Duncan.

She is survived by her sons, CJ Fritts, Jr. and wife, Crystal, of Lexington; Johnny Fritts and wife, Joyce of Lexington; James Robert Fritts, of Lexington; daughters; Linda Smith of Winston-Salem; Teresa Payne and husband, Calvin, of Lexington; step-daughter, Wanda Duncan, of Ocean Isle; and sisters, Diane Crouse and husband, Wayne, and Gladys Houser, all of Lexington, and Peggy Hunt and husband, Owen, of Trinity; 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
