Evelyn Maxine Kearns Hill, 62 of Ninth Street, Lexington, died Friday evening in Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem.
Maxine was born in Davidson County July 12, 1943 to Gurnie Lawrence Kearns and Dorothy Ann Whitaker Kearns. She was a retired employee of Stanley Furniture. She was preceded in death by her husband Larry A. Hill, June 1, 2002; brothers Henry and David Kearns and sister Virginia Dare Black.
Surviving are daughters Tina Hucks husband Wayne of Conway, SC and Lisa Hill husband James
of Lexington; son Scott Justice and wife Gloria of Lexington; grandchildren Jennifer, Jessica, Joshua, Joseph, Jaclyn and Ashley; great-grandchildren Zachary Hill, Jacob Hill, Caleb Hill, Hunter Hill, Andrew Smith, Alexia Smith, Katie Smith and Bryson Smith; brothers G.L. Kearns, Bryce Kearns, Larry Kearns, Marvin Kearns all of Lexington; and sisters Ina Smith, Clara Walton and Patricia Marlowe all of Lexington and Vickie Rhodes of Denton.
The funeral service will held at 4:00 PM Monday (April 24, 2006)in the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel. The service will be conducted by Rev. James Messer.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 4:00 PM Monday prior to the service at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington and at other times at the home.
