Evelyn Lopp, a cherished resident of Lexington, NC, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 16th, 2025, at the age of 87. Born on a beautiful spring day, Thursday, April 21st, 1938 to Charlie William Leonard and Nancy Yarbrough Leonard, Evelyn lived a life filled with love, family, and dedication.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard "Steve" Stevens Lopp; parents, a brother, Paul Leonard; and a brother-in-law Bobby Koonts.
Evelyn is lovingly survived by her two devoted daughters, Debbie Parsons and her husband Donnie, and Jill Beck, (Jimmy Revelle) both of Lexington; her brother, Dale Leonard of Lexington; two sisters, Maxine Waitman Mock ( Frank) and Janice Koonts, both of Lexington. Her legacy lives on through her three grandchildren, Dustin Beck and his wife Melissa, Matthew Parsons (Monica), and Erin Burkhart (Michael Berrier), and her five precious great-grandchildren, Devin Beck, Lydia Beck, Challon Burkhart, Brady Burkhart, and Ryah Parsons; and a sister-in-law Brenda Leonard.
Evelyn was known for her warm heart and kind spirit, leaving an unforgettable mark on everyone she met. Her family was the center of her world, and she took immense pride in each of their accomplishments.
Family, friends, and all those touched by Evelyn's grace and kindness are invited to celebrate her life at a graveside service, which will be held at 10 am on Friday, July 18th, 2025 at Becks Reformed Church Cemetery with Pastor Roland Slater officiating. Arrangements have been thoughtfully provided by Davidson Funeral Home.
As we bid farewell to Evelyn, we hold onto the cherished memories she created with us and the love she imparted. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered in our hearts.
