Evelyn Wicker Mccrary

Evelyn Ann Wicker McCrary, 81, formerly of Lexington, passed away Tuesday January 31, 2023 at Pine Ridge Health and Rehab in Thomasville.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday February 4, 2023 at Midway United Methodist Church with Pastor Rick LaBaube  conducting services. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 12:30 to 1:30 at Davison Funeral Home in Lexington.

Mrs. McCrary was born in Moore County to Fermon Wicker and Clara Taylor Wicker. In her spare time, Evelyn enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard Dale McCrary Sr.; a son, Norman McCrary; a brother Mack Wicker and two sisters, Jean Brown and Frances Maness.

Surviving is her daughter, Robin Parsons of Lexington; and her son, Richard Dale McCrary Jr. of Gastonia; a brother, Robert Wicker; a sister, Carolyn Brown; a grandson, Kevin Gene Autry (Katie); 1 great-grandchild, Kaleb Autry; numerous brother and sister in laws and nieces and nephews.
