Evelyn Perdue Mcmahan

Evelyn Perdue McMahan, age 84 of Lexington, passed away Monday, January 11, 2021 at her home.

A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at East End Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Tim Gainey. The family will receive friends one hour before the service in the church.

Due to COVID-19 pandemic, there will be limits to seating in the church and everyone is required to wear a mask and use social distancing of 6 feet.

Evelyn was born in Chesterfield, SC on November 16, 1936 to E.P. Perdue and Cora Jane Cassidy Perdue. She was a member of East End Baptist Church and was a retired bus attendant with Stoner Thomas School. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Posey McMahan, a son Wade McMahan, two grandsons, Joshua McMahan and Dwayne K. McMahan; sisters, Judy Threatt, Dianne Hall.

Surviving are her daughter, Belinda Biaso (Paul) of Lexington; daughter-in-law, Kathy Cope (Pete) of Lexington, three grandchildren; Heather D. Thorne, Sarah Jane Ellis and Cheyenne McMahan, and three great grandchildren; CoreLee Thorne, Zane Ellis, and Zoey Ellis. Also surviving are her three brothers; Glenn Perdue and David Perdue both of Patrick, SC and Donald Perdue of Walnut Cove, NC and a sister; Ida Mae Money of Patrick, SC
