Everett Dale Trimpey, Sr.

August 22, 1939 — October 4, 2012

Everett Dale Trimpey, Sr. age 73 of Huntingdon Road, Lexington passed away Thursday, October 4, 2012 at Hinkle Hospice House.    A celebration of life service will be held at 4:00 pm Sunday, October 7, 2012 in the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kelly Groce and Rev. Doug Rowe officiating.   The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Saturday, and at other times at the home.   Everett was born in Summerset County, PA August 22, 1939 to Charles Arthur Trimpey and Thelma Ruth Knox Trimpey. He was the retired, Vice-President and General Manager of Elizabeth Carbide and a member of First United Methodist Church. He liked fishing, camping and the mountains. One of his greatest joys was building ramps for Habitat for Humanity and other people in need.  He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Lester Trimpey.   Surviving are his wife; Isabelle King Trimpey of the home; daughter, Sandy Briggs and husband Von of Lexington; two sons, Everett D. Trimpey, Jr of Lexington and Danny Trimpey and wife Dayna of Fuquay Varina, NC; grandchildren, Jason Briggs, Christina Swing, Kevin Trimpey, Dietrich Trimpey, and Isaiah Trimpey; great-grandson, Atreyu Swing; sisters, Jean Willard of Versailles, PA, Lois Nemec of Orlando, FL and Mary Shaw of Boston, PA; brothers, Clifford Trimpey of Latrobe, PA, Ivan Trimpey of Port Vue, PA and Roger Trimpey of Buena Vista, PA.   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 310 South Main Street, Lexington, NC  27292 or to Hinkle Hospice House, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC  27292.   Online condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net
