E.W. Richard, 77, of Peeler Street, Lexington passed away on Sunday April 25, 2021.

A graveside service with military rites will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday April 28, 2021 at Forest Hill Memorial Park with by the Rev. Sammy Allison Sr.

Mr. Richard will lie in state Tuesday from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm at Davidson Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at 525 Meredith Ave. Lexington NC 27292 and also at 1705 Briar Lake Road, Winston Salem NC 27103.

Due the the Covid-19 pandemic, those planning on visiting the funeral home to view Mr. Richard , or attend the graveside services, are asked to practice social distancing and wear a face covering.

Mr. Richard was born January 12, 1944 in Lincoln County Georgia to Jessie Sherman Richard and Nora Harmon Richard. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and retired from S&L Painting. EW was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Sandra Tysinger Richard, his brother, Theodore Richard, his sister, Elease Bobo, and his son-in-law, Paul Henderson.

Surviving are his son, Richard Tysinger (Marvena) of Lexington; two daughters, Tessa Pittman (Kenneth) of Winston-Salem and Tonya Henderson of Lexington; 10 grandchildren,Tanaris Tysinger, Lavoris Wagner, Laquanda Tysinger, Tory Pittman, Cary Pittman, Kendall Pittman, Yimene Tysinger, Ta’Kaiya Lindsay, Mahogany Clodfelter and Kataeven Clodfelter; and several great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to donor’s choice.
