Fay Wrenn Yarborough, age 86 of Alston Brook, formerly of Fairview Drive, Lexington passed away Sunday morning at Alston Brook.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 am Thursday at Second Presbyterian Church with Revs. Brian Rummage, Bill Sosebee and Randy Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Wednesday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington.
Fay was born in Davidson County August 27, 1927 to Raymond N. and Grace Hill Wrenn. She was a retired secretary for Lexington City Schools having worked at Pickett and Lexington Middle School and a charter member of Second Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, David Carl “DC” Yarborough; sister, Frances Hedrick and a brother R. Hill Wrenn.
Surviving are her son, Cheff Yarborough (fiancee’ Anna Hayes) of Winston Salem; grandson, Chris Yarborough; sister, Bobbie Helmstetler of Lexington; brother, Tommy Wrenn (Rossilea) of Lexington; several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Harold Bowen.
The family would like to thank the staff of Alston Brook and Hospice for all the care, love and support given Fay and her family during her illness.
