Faye Rickard Eller, 89, of Davidson County, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2025, in Davidson County.
Born on November 12, 1936, in Davidson County, Faye was the daughter of the late Otis Graham Rickard and Ethel Beatrice Beck Rickard. She was raised in the community she loved and remained deeply rooted there throughout her life.
Faye had a special gift for making others smile and laugh. Her warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit were felt by everyone who knew her. Above all else, she put her family first and was immensely proud of the family she built and nurtured. She faithfully hosted Sunday dinners each week, creating a place where her family gathered, shared meals, and made lasting memories. She took great pride in providing for those she loved and cherished every moment spent together.
She enjoyed fishing, being outdoors, and relaxing on her porch swing while admiring the birds. A woman of many talents, Faye was especially gifted at crocheting, a skill she shared through the love stitched into each piece she made.
Faye will be remembered as the true matriarch of her family—a nurturer, provider, and one of the sweetest souls a family could ever be blessed to have.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald Lee Eller, and her two brothers, Carlton Rickard and Ira Rickard.
She is survived by her three sons, Leon Eller (Carlotta), Eddie Eller (Christie), and Randy Eller (Katie); her sister, Libby Rogers; nine grandchildren, Stephanie Freedle, David Lucas (Cindy), Scott Lucas (Christina), Steven Jones (Felicia), Brian Jones (Misty), Jennifer Smith, Destinee Smith (Zach), Tori Eller, and Kendra Benson (Ross); twenty great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren; and many dearly loved nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on January 3rd, 2026, at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., with a graveside service to follow at Pine Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery/ Snider Cemetery beginning at 2:00 p.m.
