Mrs. Florence “Bobbie” Berrier went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at Mallard Ridge Assisted Living. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 4, 2014 at Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church with the Rev. Karen Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
She was born in Davidson County on July 26, 1929 to Sidney and Martha Scott. She graduated from Arcadia High School and worked for Western Electric, but spent most of her life as a homemaker. She was a faithful member of Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church and a member of Seekers Sunday School Class. Bobbie loved to play rook. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 60 years, Walter Lee Berrier (August 8, 2010); sisters, Opal Scott, Arlene (Fred) Perryman, Aetha (James) Everhart; brothers, Grover (Dot) Scott, Harold Scott as well as her brothers-in-law, Clarence (Francis) Berrier, Ray Berrier, Bryce Berrier, Donald Berrier; sisters-in-law, Margie Berrier and Jennie Berrier.
Surviving are three sons, David Berrier (Sonja) of Kernersville, Dan Berrier (Rita) of Midway, Neil (Kristy) Berrier of Reedy Creek. She leaves behind grandchildren, Michael and Amy Berrier, Brandi and Kenny Latham, Jennifer and Paul Autry, Emma, Mattie and Trent Berrier; two great grandchildren, Jackson Berrier and Ethan Latham; sisters and brothers-in-law; Jennie Scott, Deanna Beck (Don), Julia Kay Clodfelter (Boyd), Mary Berrier, Clatie Berrier, Sam and Janice Berrier as well as many nieces and nephews.
