Florence Berrier Warden, age 91, passed away Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Hinkle Hospice House. A funeral service will be held 3:00 pm Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at Canaan United Methodist Church with Lee Strange. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Monday, June 16, 2014 at the funeral home. Florence was born December 5, 1922 in Davidson County to Harvey Phillip Berrier and Elzie Pitts Berrier. She was a member of Canaan United Methodist Church and a member of choir for over 70 years. She was a member of the Methodist Women, Vice President of the Willing Workers Class, Senior Citizen Sun Shine Club, Ledford Home Makers, Volunteered for Hospice of Davidson County, Davidson County Meals on Wheels and Volunteer of The Year at Pine Ridge Nursing Home. Florence was featured on “Roy’s Folk’s.” Throughout the years she has been an avid fisherman, loved and served her family and community well. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Robert Lee Warden Jr., son; Curtis Lee Warden, 5 brothers. 2 sisters, sister in-law; Kaye Berrier, brother in-law; Pete Nichols. Surviving are her sons; Wayne Ransom Warden (Song Hui), Larry Robert Warden (Carol), daughter; Cathy Warden McBride (Greg), brothers; John Berrier, Clay Berrier (Odessa), sister; Vi Nichols, daughter in-law; Theresa Warden all of Winston-Salem, grandchildren; Daniel Warden, David and Elyshia Warden, Shannon Eddleman (Mark), Stacy Crouse (Cleve), Chanel McBride, great grandchildren; Jessica (Dakota), Shaun, Chip, Allana, Mya, Cayden, Mason and special nieces and nephews.
