Floyd Jackson Berrier, 81, of Lexington, passed away Wednesday morning, September 12, 2012 at his home.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, September 14, 2012 at Union Grove Baptist Church with the Revs. Ken Harris and T. W. Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Thursday, September 13, 2012 at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel.
Floyd was born in Davidson County on August 2, 1931 to Russell Odell and Fanny Beulah Berrier. He was the owner of Berrier Equipment and a member of Union Grove Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Floyd Jackson (Jack) Berrier; and his brothers, Ishmal Berrier and Tony Berrier.
Surviving are his wife, Martha Nadine Marshall Berrier of the home; three daughters, Myra Berrier Kerner, Pam Berrier Reich and husband Jeff, and Jean Berrier Bryant and husband Jerry, all of Arcadia; one brother, Paul David Berrier and wife, Phyllis, of Arcadia; four sisters, Betty Nifong and husband, Archie, Angela Parker and husband, Bobby, and Dottie Sizemore and husband, Barry, all of Midway, and Linda Holdaway and husband, Michael, of Reedy Creek; eight grandchildren, April, Andy, Brian, Erik, Courtney, Nicole, Jed and Jayce; and five great-grandchildren, Tyler, Tori, Sam, Wyatt, and Eli.
