Floyd Craver Freedle

Floyd Craver Freedle, 86, of Weaver Road in the Welcome Community, died Monday, June 20, 2016, at Forsyth Medical Center, following a serious illness of one week. The funeral will be 4 p.m. Thursday, June 23, 2016, at Center United Methodist Church with the Revs. Eddie Evans and Ken Dees. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 22, 2016, and other times at the home on Weaver Road. Mr. Freedle was born November 1, 1929, in Davidson County, to Jesse James Freedle and Sallie Edna Craver Freedle. He was retired from Wellington Hall Furniture where he had been an inspector. He enjoyed bluegrass music, working on radios and performing electrical wiring for his friends and neighbors. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Ann McCrary Freedle, who died October 20, 2008. Surviving are son, Michael Freedle of Lexington; daughter, Becky Jo Brown of Salisbury; grandchildren, Robert W. “Trey” Brown III and wife, Katie of Medina, TN. And Derek F. Brown and fiancé, Tara Steuterman of Greensboro; sister, Nannie Roberts and husband J.R. of Lexington; and sister-in-law, Nancy McCrary of Lexington.
