Mr. Lambert was born on April 23, 1948, in Rowan County to the late Floyd Gilbert Lambert, Sr. and Annie Mae Riddle Lambert. He proudly retired as a maintenance technician for Kimberly-Clark.
A true Southern gentleman, Junior was a man who knew the value of hard work and the power of faith. Born with grit in his hands and kindness in his heart, he lived a life rooted in honesty, responsibility, and love his family.
Strong as an ox and steady as the ground beneath his boots, Junior never shied away from a long day’s work. He believed in earning what he had, keeping his word, and helping others without being asked. To those who knew him, he was a hero-not because he sought praise, but because he showed up every single day.
Above all else, Junior was a wonderful father. He led by example, taught through action and loved with his whole heart. His children were his pride, and his guidance, patience, and quiet strength will live on through them.
A devoted servant of God, Junior walked humbly in faith. He trusted the Lord in good times and hard ones, and his life reflected the values he held dear-integrity, compassion, and grace. His faith was not just spoken it was lived.
He leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and unwavering devotion-to family, to faith, and to doing what was right. Though he will be deeply missed, the impact of his life will continue to be felt in every life he touched.
“Well done, good and faithful servant.”
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dianne Lanier Lambert; and grandchild, Steven T. Gathings and great-grandchild, Ollivander Buzzard.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Crystal Bailey (Danny) and Carla Fisher (Troy); grandchildren, Michael Gathings (Amelia), Kyndell Buzzard (Jesse), Tori Willis (Josh), Justin Fisher, Coree Monk (Brianna), Destani Monk, and Karissa Rife (Tyler); and great-grandchildren, Clay Gathings, Kynleigh Gathings, Everly Gathings, Cadence Willis, Wyatt Willis, Phebe Willis, Arayna Willis, Rebekah Bray, Olivia Bray, and Berklee Monk; brother, Russell Lambert (Barbara).
