Frances Catherine Bracken, age 91 of Lopp Street, Lexington passed away Wednesday morning (August 25, 2010) at Thomasville Medical Center. Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Friday (August 27, 2010) at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. Joe D. Coltrane and Rev. Kelly Barefoot officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.
The fmaily will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
Frances was born in Davidson County, April 28, 1919 to Henry Clevland Lamb and Bertie Elizabeth Freedle Lamb. She was a former employee of Siceloff, Mfg. with 23 years of service and a retired employee of Philpott Furniture after 18 years. She was a member of Second Reformed United Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by husband James Carl Bracken, August 17, 1968; two sisters, Violet Lamb and Nellie Leonard; two brothers, Henry and Norman Lamb.
Surviving are: two daughters, Nancy Rowe and husband, Larry, of Kernersville and Barbara Weygandt and husband, Dave, of Bentleyville, PA; one son, James “Jim” Bracken and wife, Coreathea, of Lexington; eight grandchildren, Penelope Rowe, Kristine Welborn, Charles (Ham) Helmstetler, Chris Watkins, Brandi Weygandt, Carl Bracken and Ashley Bracken; Dalford Rowe and five great-grandchildren.
