Frances York Coleman, 83, of Manhattan Drive, died Monday, September 5, 2016, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday, September 10, 2016, at Davidson Funeral Home with Preacher Clyde Akers officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m. and other times at their respective homes.
Mrs. Coleman was born May 20, 1933, in Davidson County, to C.A. York and Clara Hunt York Leonard. She was a quality inspector at Stanley Furniture before retiring after 47 years of service. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Paul Coleman, who died February 4, 2011; grandson, Ethan Smith; her loving stepfather who helped raise her, James Leonard; brothers, Guy York and Charles York; and sisters, Louise York Everhart Leonard and Peggie York Phillips; special niece, Jeannette Everhart Cook.
Surviving are son, Randy Coleman and wife April of Denton; daughter, Karen Fritts and husband Mark of Lexington; grandchildren, Hayllie Coleman Hedrick and husband Chris, Hunter Coleman, Scott Bradley, Mike Bradley and Zach Fritts; seven great-grandchildren; and special neighbors, Bobby and Ann Jones.
