Frances Cook

Frances Burrage Cook, 73, of Jess Cross Road, passed away Monday, Sept. 13, 2010, at High Point Regional Hospital. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel by Bishop Ronnie Shaw. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and at other times at the home. Frances was born in Guilford County on March 19, 1937, to Roy Eugene Burrage and Lillie Medlock Burrage. She was a member of Faith Chapel and retired employee of United Furniture. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Jack Alton Cook on Feb. 14, 2009; two sisters, Betty Rose Porter and Georgia Jones; and one brother, Roger Dale Burrage. Surviving are two daughters, Pam Everhart and Betty Ann Brown, both of Lexington; three sisters, Willie Mae Adams of California, Faye Akins of Alabama and Joyce Williams of Lexington; and her animal companions, Kitty and her faithful dog, Buddy.
