Frances Bryant Essick

  Frances Bryant Essick, 89, of Welcome passed away peacefully on Monday, April 9, 2018 at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.   A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Bethesda United Methodist Church with Rev. Danny Miller officiating.  Visitation will be held in the church Family Life Center from 1:30 to 2:30 pm prior to the service.   Frances was born in Davidson County on April 1, 1929 to Harvey Bryant and Vonie Crotts Bryant.  She was a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church and the Susanna Wesley Sunday School Class.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Franklin (Bill) Essick, and sisters, Helen Tysinger and Eulis Carlton.   Surviving is a son, William (Frank) Essick, Jr. (Diane) of Winston-Salem; daughter, Sharon Essick Bele of Lexington; sister-in-law, Freda Shoaf of Lexington; one special niece, Judy Greer-Stewart of Lexington; and one grandson, Anthony J. Bele, III, (McKenzie) of Winston-Salem, and many other loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.   The family wishes to give special thanks to Alston Brook and Hospice of Davidson County.   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethesda United Methodist Church, 2922 Bethesda Road, Lexington, NC 27292 or to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.
