Frances Swing Everhart

Frances Swing Everhart, age 96 of Western Blvd., Lexington passed away Monday morning  January 9, 2017 at Alston Brook Nursing Home. A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Friday, January 13, 2017 in the Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel with Rev. Doug Rowe officiating. Burial will be in Lexington City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the service and at other times at the home. Frances was born in Davidson County October 16, 1920 to Robert Lee Swing and Minnie Idora Hedrick Swing. She was a member of First United Methodist Church; former member of Lexington Women’s Club and The Civinette Club. She was a retired secretary with Lexington City Schools. Frances was preceded in death by her parents; husband Ira Ward Everhart in 2000; sisters, Fannie Bowers, Lillie Lohr, Addie Kepley, Virgie McCarn and Alma Leonard; brothers, Emmitt, Charlie, Pierce, Percy, Erman and Robbie Swing. Surviving are her daughter, Susan Hoffman and husband Dennis of Dillsbury, PA.
