Frances Johnson Gray

Frances Johnson Gray, 96, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at Wake Forest Medical Center.

There will be a private ceremony for the family.

Frances was born on December 26, 1926, in Wilkes County, to the late Roscoe and Addie Johnson.

Frances retired from Western Electric. She loved to garden and was known to grow the best tomatoes and flowers. She loved animals of all kinds. Her family was her pride and joy. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Baxter Gray; son, Barry Gray; six brothers; and four sisters.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Louise Gray Byerly of Clemmons; four grandchildren, Kimberly Byerly, Ranie Gray, Heather Cagle and husband Ken, and Jessica Saunders and husband Morgan; one great-grandchild, Alex Cagle; and close friend, Mike Ford.
