Frances Jarrell

Frances Ann Burkhart Jarrell, age 80, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 14, 2024. A devoted mother, grandmother, and cherished member of her community. She attended Psalm 91 Church and First Pentecostal Holiness Church of Lexington. Frances will be remembered for her warmth, love, and the lasting impact she made on the lives of those around her.

A funeral service to celebrate Frances's life will be held at 3 pm on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at the Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. Burial will follow at Psalm 91 Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2 pm until 3 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.

Frances was born on April 22, 1943, in Davidson County to the late James Hollis Burkhart and Geneva Trantham Burkhart. Throughout her life, she demonstrated unwavering strength, kindness, and a deep sense of familial devotion. Frances dedicated several years of her career to PPG, where she excelled as a forewoman before embracing a well-deserved retirement. In addition to her professional achievements, Frances found immense joy and fulfillment in her roles as a mother and grandmother. Her love and care knew no bounds, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of her family. Frances was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John "Dub" William Jarrell, and her son, Chuck Allen Jarrell. Their memories will forever be intertwined with the love and laughter they shared.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving daughter, Lisa Lohr (Roger); her brother-in-law, Ricky Jarrell; a very special cousin, Mike Trantham; her grandchildren, Kristy Lohr Bowers (Gary), Caroline Lohr, and Paul Lohr (Hannah Hewett); and her precious great-grandson, Christopher Bowers.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorials be directed to Grace Journey Church at 1000 E. Center St., Lexington, NC 27295.

Davidson Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Jarrell family during this difficult time. Frances's legacy of love, compassion, and strength will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in eternal peace.
