Frances Adeline Martin

Frances Adeline Martin, age 101 of Alston Brook, Lexington formerly of South Poplar Street, Winston Salem passed away Tuesday night, October 2, 2012 at Alston Brook.   Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Friday, October 5, 2012 at Freedom Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Clyde Akers officiating.  Burial will follow at Parklawn Memorial Gardens.   Family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 until 2:00 pm prior to the service and at other times at the home of a niece, Stella Howard, 460 West Grove Road, Lexington.   Frances was born in Rockingham County, July 2, 1911 to Lee Nathaniel Martin and Lea Anna Thomas Martin.  She was a retired employee of RJR Tobacco Company with 32 1/2 years of service. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Ida Crotts, Maggie West, Katie Preston, Mamie Howard, Gert and Lillie Martin; one brother, James Martin.   Surviving are several nieces and nephews   Memorials may be made to Freedom Missionary Baptist Church, PO Box 1242, Lexington, NC 27293   Online condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net
