Frances Irene Brinson Myers

Mrs. Frances Irene Brinson Myers, 93, of Old Hwy. 64, died Monday, September 7, 2026, at Compass Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Spencer.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, September 11, 2026, at Reeds Baptist Church, with Pastor Henry Watterson and Rev. Jerry Beck officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.

She was born on February 6, 1933, in Davidson County, to the late Homer Fred and Jesse Byerly Brinson.

Mrs. Myers cared for children for many years. She was a longtime member of Reeds Baptist Church, having joined in 1956. She was a member of Reeds Garden Club, American Legion Ladies Aux, and was one of the first women to join the Reeds Civitan’s Club in 1976. Mrs. Myers volunteered for the West Davidson Food Pantry and Thomasville Baptist Children’s Homes. She volunteered for the Special Olympics and would deliver fruit at Christmas to the elderly.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Jacob Steve Myers; a son, Steven Darrell Myers; a daughter, Judy Frances Myers Bates; a great-grandson, Parker Spillman; a brother, Harold Lee Brinson; and a son-in-law, Tony Bates.

Survivors include her son, Greg Myers (Charlotte) of Lexington; five grandchildren, Terry Bates, Cody Bates, Morgan Myers Martin (Jefferey), Joseph Watkins (Tiffany), and Felicia Spillman (John); five great-grandchildren, Danica Bates, Lily Bates, Briella Bates, Gavin Watkins, Eleanor Spillman; a brother, Carlton Brinson; and many nieces and nephews.
