Frances Mccrary Phillips

Today we announce the passing of our mother who lived to be 100 years old. She was more than just a matriarch; she was the heart and soul of our family.  A true leader in every sense of the word, she guided her loved ones with wisdom, compassion, and unwavering strength. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the lives of those she touched. Rest In Peace.

Frances McCrary Phillips, 100, of Lexington, passed away July 4, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Sunday, July 7 at Center Church of Welcome with Rev. Mitch Wilson officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be one hour prior from 2:00 to 3:00 PM in the Church Fellowship Center.

Frances was born June 16, 1924 in Davidson County, NC to James and Hattie Proctor McCrary. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Paul Holland Phillips, her son Gilmer Wayne Phillips, her brothers; Cyrus McCrary and Foster McCrary, her sisters; Minnie Sink, Nannie McCrary, and Rosie McCrary.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughters; Ruby Blackmon (Elwood), Barbara Teague, Shirley Craver (Ronald), Christine Brinkley (Gary) all of Lexington, 7 grandchildren; Amy Adkins (Jason), Emily Lambeth (Danny), Tim Craver (Emily), Philip Brinkley (Jennifer), Dr. Brad Teague, Megan Meredith (Adam), and Alison Michael (Charlie), and 12 great-grandchildren; Olivia Coleman, Dylan Coleman, Colby Adkins, Amelia Brinkley, Lynlee Brinkley, Corbin Meredith, Aubrey Adkins, Sophia Craver, Easton Meredith, Parker Brinkley, Grady Brinkley, and Brinlee Michael.
