Frances Queen Varner, age 80 of County Road, Crane Hill, Alabama formerly of
Lexington died Sunday at home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday
in Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel conducted by Rev. Tommy Hepler, burial
will follow in Beulah United Church of Christ Cemetery. Frances was born in Davidson County, October 29, 1926 to Oscar and Laura Crews Hartley. She was of the Baptist faith
and a retired employee of Henry Link Furniture after 20 years of service. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Henry Hasten Queen and Wade Varner, Sr.; by a daughter Linda Mae Queen; great grandson Seth Colton Barnette; brothers: Clinton, Clarence, Rob, and Harvey; and sisters; Mary, Addie Mae and Louise. Surviving are: son; William “Jack” Queen and wife Judy of Lexington; Daughter; Becky Barnette and husband Al of Crane Hill, Alabama, brother; George Hartley of Welcome; Grandchildren; Lashley Barnette, Lee Barnette, Lynn Wingo, Rhonda Poylock and husband Rick, Renee Berrier and husband Derek and Tonya Bethea and husband Robert; Great Grandchildren; Rebecca, Melissa, Ashley, Brandy, Jessica, Samantha, Tyler, Jacob, Nicholas, Alex, Marissa and Hailee; Great -Great Grandchildren; Alee, Jacob, Emily and Kiara.
The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home, from 11:30 until 1:30 pm Wednesday prior to the service and at other times at the home of a Granddaughter, 1628 Sink Farm Road, Lexington, NC
