Frances Lucille Wilson, 81, of Hillside Drive, died Thursday, September 25, 2014, at the home of her granddaughter, on Wilson Road.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday, September 28, 2014, at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with the Chaplin David Kolb officiating. Burial will follow in Lexington City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, September 27, 2014 and other times at the home of her granddaughter on Wilson Road.
Mrs. Wilson was born October 22, 1933, in Davidson County, to Coy Sims and Gennette Goins Sims Hedrick. She was retired from the furniture industry and of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her step-father, McCoy Hedrick; sons, Roy Lee Wilson Jr. and James Eugene Wilson; brothers, William Lee Hedrick, Junior Hedrick and Bob Hedrick; and sister, Collene Grant.
Surviving are grandchildren, Star W. Barrier and husband, Robbie, Roy Lee Wilson III, both of Linwood, and Brandy Wilson of Lexington; Fiance’, Andrew Bivens of Lexington; great-grandchildren, Samantha Barrier of Lexington, Emily Barrier of Linwood, Tommy Duncan Jr. “TJ”, Dallion Deal, Addison Wilson “Sunshine”, and Natalie Wilson “Smiley”; great-great-grandchild, Roran Axel Neely “Tigger”; brother, James Albert Sims and wife, Edith; sister, Doris Hedrick Burleson and husband, Delmar, of Lexington; sister-in-law, Ann Hedrick; and brother-in-law, Paul Grant.
