Francis David Sawyer

Francis David Sawyer, 81, of Welcome Arcadia Road, died Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at Brian Center of Lexington. There will be no formal visitation or service. Mr. Sawyer was born September 11, 1927 in Mecklenburg County to Robert B. Sawyer Sr. and Evelyn Williams Sawyer. He was retired as a self employed book keeper. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. A member of Mensa and a graduate of George Washington University. He was preceded in death by a brother; James W. Sawyer, sister; Susan Beckerdite. He is survived by brothers, Robert Sawyer Jr. of Mobil Al, Thomas Edward Sawyer of Texas. Sisters; Dorothy S. Batten of Lexington, Ann Sawyer of Lexington and Mary Allen of Rural Hall.
