Frank Mock Berrier, age 79 of Sowers Road, Linwood passed away Tuesday night, May 23, 2017 at Brookstone Retirement Center. Funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Friday, May 26, 2017 at Greer’s Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Charles A. Lindquist, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 PM Friday at the church prior to the service. Frank was born in Davidson County November 28, 1937 to Wade Phillip and Esther Byerly Berrier. He was a retired employee of North Carolina Finishing and had attended Greer’s Chapel when his health permitted. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Calvin Berrier; sisters, Ida Rebecca Berrier, Betty Spry and Irene Byrant; brothers, Garland, Will, Grady, Wayne, Pete, Coy and Ed Berrier. Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Pallie Tysinger Berrier of the home; daughter, Sarah Hopkins (Jerry) of Lexington; sons, Roger “Jake” Berrier, Larry “Doodie” Berrier and Terry “Hippy” Berrier (Lesa) all of Linwood; grandchildren, Jacob, Logan, Houston and Ella; brothers, Vestal “Gabby” Berrier of Linwood and Sherman Berrier of Denton. The family would like to thank the staff of Brookstone Retirement Center for their care and support during his illness.
