Frank Harvey Davis, 77, of Gleneagle Lane, went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ Monday, October 28, 2013, at Forsyth Medical Center.
A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Friday, November 1, 2013, at Greer’s Chapel United Methodist Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. Renee Foster officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, October 31, 2013, at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home.
Frank was born November 15, 1935, in Franklin County, TN., to James Harvey Davis and Jessie Warf Davis. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Frank served in the U.S. military and was retired from PPG. He was happiest when fishing, golfing and spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and friends. He served in many capacities at his church and was active on the council. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Surviving are his loving wife of 54 years, Martha Baatz Davis of the home; son, Gregory Allen Davis and wife Lisa of Morristown, IN.; daughter, Jennifer Michele Davis of Summerfield; grandchildren, Rachel and Sam Smith, Heather Sherman and husband Dan, and Randy and Kayla Davis; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Anna Mae Phares and husband John, Dorothy Pickett and husband Bob, Marie Evans, Betty Battaglia and husband Jack, and Sue Adams and husband Ron; brothers, Tom Davis and wife Fabienne, Carl Davis, Robert Davis and wife Rose, Merle Davis and wife Belinda, Bill Davis and wife Marcia, Mike Davis and Norm Davis; sister-in-law, Mary Fuller and husband Bill; and 25 nieces and nephews.
