Frank Tussey

Frank Glen Tussey, 86, of Caitlan Lane, died Wednesday, April 9, 2008, at his home. A Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Forest Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum by Preacher Clyde Akers. Mr. Tussey was born December 5, 1921, in Davidson County, to Enoch Bud Tussey and Cora Sains Tussey. He served in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II and was a carpenter for R.J. Reynolds for 28 years prior to retirement. He was a member at Second United Church of Christ and also American Legion Post 8. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Fred Tussey, Alvin Tussey and Zeb Tussey; and two sisters, Ruth Tussey Briggs and Catherine Tussey. Surviving are his wife, Carolyn Roberts Tussey of the home; sons, Ronald “Runt” Tussey, Bobby Tussey and dwife, Sandra, all of Lexington, and Scott Tussey of Oklahoma City, Ok.; daughters, Teresa Shaw and husband, Sandy, Tish Blanton, Diane Turner, and Gail Gooden, all of Lexington;14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brothers, Enoch Tussey and Buck Tussey, both of Lexington; sisters, Nona Loman and Coleen Tussey, both of Lexington. The family will receive friends at the home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, P.O. Box 1941, Lexington, NC 27293.
