Frankie Robertson Fowler Sr., 78, of Liberty Church Road, died Sunday, April 5, 2009, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 9, 2009, at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Jerry Couch. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park.
Mr. Fowler was born October 3, 1930, in McDowell County, W. Va., to Fred Fowler and Lonie G. Hash Fowler. He was a member of Believers Sonship Tabernacle and a retired store owner. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Alyssa Fowler.
Surviving are his wife, Christine Cabe Fowler of the home; son, Frankie Fowler Jr. and wife, Patricia, of Linwood; daughters, Sharon Kay Reynolds and husband, Paul, of Lexington, and Vickie Diane Morris and husband, Wayne, of Tennessee; grandchildren, Susan Loveless and husband, Brian, Austin Morris and wife, Jennifer, all of Tennessee, Ariana Fowler of Linwood and Melissa Reynolds of Lexington; great-grandchildren, Morgan Loveless, Page Loveless, Mason Loveless, Braden Morris, and Jaycee Morris, all of Tennessee; brothers, James Fowler and wife, Betty, and J.D. Fowler, all of Lexington; and sisters, Juanita Dillion of W. Va., Mary Sue Fowler and husband, George, and Christine Fowler, all of Lexington.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and other times at the home on Liberty Church Road, Mocksville.
