Franklin Nifong

Franklin Eugene Nifong, 96, of Winston Salem, passed away Thursday, September 15, 2022, at Forest Heights Senior Living.

A graveside service will be held 3 pm Sunday, September 18, 2022, at Faith Church Cemetery.

Mr. Nifong was born April 17, 1926, in Davidson County, to Walter Eugene Nifong and Addie Lenora Everhart Nifong. He was a charter member of Faith Church served in the choir for many years. Along with spending time with family, he loved to fish and hunt. Farming, carpentry, and playing the guitar were also some of his beloved hobbies. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Ball Nifong; two brothers, Albert Pickney Nifong, and William Taft Nifong; and five sisters, Edna Mae Head, Pauline Head, Margaret Lanier, Wilma Cockman, and Martha Perryman.

Left to cherish his memory are several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
