Fred O. Mcculloch

Fred O. Fritts McCulloch, 86, of Smith Road, passed away January 4, 2024, at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.

A graveside service to celebrate his life will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, January 13 at Memorial Evangelical and Reformed Church Cemetery, by Pastor Zachary Hall.

Fred O was born November 15, 1937 in Davidson County to the late Doctor Webb McCulloch and Effie Adaline Fritts McCulloch. Fred O was a devoted member of Memorial Evangelical and Reformed Church and the church family. He was a veteran in the US Army Reserves and served as Secretary and Treasurer for Davidson County Mutual Fire Insurance Company.  He was also a member of the Elks Lodge of Lexington and Davidson Investors Club. His passions were his faith, his church, his family and especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren, step grandchildren. Fred O was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother, who will be missed by all. He was preceded in death by his sister, Julia Kaye Umble.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Verna Poovey McCulloch of the home, his son, Webb McCulloch (Anna) of Lexington, his daughters, Mia Shoaf, and Judith Kay McCulloch, both of Lexington, his step-sons, Todd Seagle (Pam) and Mark Seagle (Tiffany), both of Lexington; his grandchildren, Logan Gallimore (Trey), Paydon Peace (Adam), Myers McCulloch and Jack McCulloch; his great-grandchildren, Emory Sue and Ivey Gallimore, and Doc Peace; and his step-grandchildren, Cameron Seagle (Natasha), Spencer Seagle, Kelsey Hudson (Tate), Abby Seagle, and Maisa Little.
