Mr. Frederick Bernardo Walker, Sr., 72, of Arnold Road, died Saturday at Lexington Health Care after an illness of five months. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 19 from the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Doug McGee officiating. Burial will follow at Arrington Heights Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Walker was born July 1, 1937 in Catawba County to James Ernie Walker and Marie Townsend Walker. He was a retired machinist and member of Arrington Heights Freewill Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the US Navy, and a VIP member of the West Lexington Lions Club. He is survived by his wife, Linda Susan Bailey Walker of the home, his sons, Freddie Walker, Jr. and wife, Rhonda, of Lexington, Jon Loman of Lexington, and Chris Loman, and wife, Heidi, of Kernesville; his daughter, Lorraine Howard of Rural Hall; his sisters, Janet Allen, and husband, Jimbo; Shelia Flack, and Karen Rayback, all of Georgia; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to donors choice.The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Monday at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home on Arnold Road.
