Fred Walter Warren

Fred Walter Warren age 80 passed away Thursday May 11, 2023, at his home. A graveside service will be held 1:00 pm Monday May 15, 2023, at The Warren Family Cemetery in Abingdon, Virginia.

Mr. Warren was born February 11, 1943, in Abingdon, VA to the late Ernest Epperson Warren and Susie Jordan Warren. He retired as a delivery driver with Carolane Propane with over 40 years of service. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Eileen, Patricia and Betty and brothers, Herbert, Howard. John and Carl.

Surviving are his children, Wade Warren (Ann), Robin Miller (Michael) and Sahvanna Warren. Four grandchildren, Zachary Miller (Anna), SSG Troy Warren (Meredith), Derek Miller (Sarah) and Blake Miller. Six great grandchildren, Madelyn, Camden, Cadence, Maxwell, Ivy, Kate and Levi. Also surviving are brothers, Rodney Warren (Dorothy) and Jimmy Warren (Donna) and sisters, Donna Quetsch (Paul) and Wanda Porter (Art).

Location: North of Abingdon, off Rt.19

Directions: From the intersection of US-11 (Main Street) and US-19 (Porterfield Highway) head north on US-19 approximately 3 miles to the second intersection with Everette Hagy Rd. Make a “U” Turn at the crossover and return south to Springlake Rd. Continue west on Springlake Road and bear right at the “Y”. The cemetery is on private land behind a house at 18266 Springlake Rd. There is a footpath at the private driveway up to the cemetery.
