Freddie Clarence Shoaf, 50, of Helmstetler Road, died Thursday, June 1, 2006, at St. Michael Hospital in Toronto, Canada. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, where he was a member, by the Rev. Don Phillips. Burial will be in Sandy Creek Cemetery. Mr. Shoaf was born in Davidson County on Oct. 13, 1955, to Fred Casey Shoaf Jr. and Maxine Smith Shoaf. Surviving are his wife, Barbara Shoaf of the home, and his parents of Lexington. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 4299 N.C. Highway 150 South, Lexington, NC 27295.
