Gail Story Mcbride

Gail Story McBride, 87, of Winston-Salem, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, June 12, 2025.

Gail was born on May 1, 1938, in Davidson County, North Carolina, to Lloyd Eugene Story and Virginia Snyder Story. She was a lifelong member of New Hope Presbyterian Church and devoted her life to caring for and loving her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Winfred McBride; her brother, Louis Story, and her sisters, Louise Coleman and Jean Morrow.

Gail is survived by her loving daughters, Donna Beauchamp (Dean) and Karen Johnson (Todd); four grandchildren, Amanda Johnson (Eric), Tyler Beauchamp (Ashley), Brooke Hiott (Taylor), Paige Helman (Owen), and eight cherished great-grandchildren.

Gail will be remembered for her kind heart, gentle spirit, and the deep love she had for her family. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Wednesday, June 18th in the Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel with Rev. Mason Todd officiating the service. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park in Lexington. A visitation with family and friends will be held from 1pm until 2pm prior to the service.
