Gail Thomason Medlin

Margaret “Gail” Thomason Medlin, 84, of Lexington passed away July 1, 2025, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem after a sudden illness.

the Funeral service will be 4:00 PM, Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel with Rev. Jim Luck and Rev. Paula Wells officiating.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at the funeral home.

Gail was born June 15, 1941, in Davidson County to Alvin and Melba Fritts Thomason Morgan. She attended business college for 2 years. She worked at Davis Townsend Elementary School for many years as an assitant teacher, subsitute and office secretary. She also worked for Lexington furniture Industires as a secretary on switchboardoperator for over 30 years.

She was a member of Second Reformed UCC where she taught sunday school and served on many commities throguh the years.

She will be as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a true lady of faith. She will be greatly missed by all.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Tony Medlin, who passed earlier this year, and her son, Mike Medlin.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughters; Paula Newsome (Kenny), and Julie Dyson (Greg), and grandchildren; Zackery Todd Hutchinson, Merrick Dyson and fiancé Mykenzie Carroll and Riley Dyson.

May she rest in peace knowing she was loved an appreciated by all the lives she touched.
