Gail Cecil Wishon

Gail Cecil Wishon, 68, of Cecil Road, died Friday, January 22, 2016, at Forsyth Medical Center after three years of declining health. A funeral service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday at First Baptist Church of Welcome, where she was a member, with the Rev. Mark Blair officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 PM at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, and other times at the home. Mrs. Wishon was born July 15, 1947 in Davidson County to Artis Gray Cecil and Betty Rose Everhart Cecil. She was a former employee of Mallory Battery Company. In addition to her mother , she was preceded in death by a son, Larry Scott Wishon;brother, Donald Gray Cecil; and sister, Glenda June Cecil Wicker, and brother-in-law Mickey Wicker. Surviving are her loving husband of 51 years Stephen Larry Wishon of the home; daughter, Tammy Gail Fowler and husband Darren of Wallburg;the light of her life, grandchildren Dalton Brent Fowler and Karsyn Grace Fowler; sister-in-law Gina Wimmer Cecil of Welcome; niece Laura Cecil and son Konner; and best friends Carolyn Walser and husband Talbert.
