Gary Glenn Butner

Gary Butner age 55 of  Gumtree Road died Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Kernersville Medical Center, Kernersville, NC.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, March 4, 2022 at the Richard Childress Banquet Hall, 425 Industrial Drive in Lexington conducted by Pastor Eric Lineberry. The family will receive friends after the service.

Gary was born June 13, 1966 in Forsyth County to Travis Lee Butner and Linda Chambers Butner. Gary “Flash” worked at A. C. Corporation for 35 plus years and was a Fireman for 30 plus years at Gumtree Fire Department. Gary loved going camping at the beach, spending time with his family and hunting. But the thing he loved the most was spending time with his princess, Maci. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Surviving are his wife; Melissa Lynn Butner of the home, son Dustin Butner wife Amanda, two sisters, Terry Hall (Chip), Emily Wallace (Pat), one grand-daughter “Pa’s Princess” Maci Butner, three nieces; Katie, Rachel and Ashley.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to; Gumtree Fire Dept., 2466 Gumtree Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27107.
