Surviving are a daughter, Leah McKenzie Fitz of Lexington; father, Gary Glenn Fitz Sr. of Columbus, GA and mother, Lisa Benefield Peters and step-father, Gary D. Peters of Lexington; a sister, Amberlie Alise Cromley of Lexington; grandparents, Loretta Fitz of Columbus, GA, Rachael W. Benefield, of Columbus, GA and Claude and Ruth Ann Peters of Lexington.
